UNC Charlotte has a Motorsports Engineering concentration that utilizes engineering principles learned in the class room, and applies them to racing applications. The Motorsports Engineering program here at UNC Charlotte uses a hands on approach to allow students to connect the classroom theory to the real world. Starting their sophomore year, students can enter the Motorsports Concentration and start working on the school’s drag car. From there they go on to work on the SAE Baja and Formula SAE cars. More information on these teams can be found here. More information on the Motorsports program can be found here.
